In my opinion there is no reason for to make anyone take off his socks when on visit. I agree that shoes off policy is quite normal from hygienic reason and owner of house set the rule. Socks should be optional - it is good for visitants when owner give him possibility take his socks off too but I cannot imagine say it strictly whether adults or children. As for house family it is different. Parents set the rules for children. When I was a boy, I have a friend that had to be in bare feet only at home. I remember my surprise when visited him first time. We both took off our shoes and he took off his socks as well. I asked him why - it seemed rather weird for me. (In this time I used to have socks in my home.) I put him a question why take off his socks and he answered that it was a rule for him. But only for him, nobody made me to the same. In my home I had free choice - trainers, socks, barefoot. When I was very young I prefer socks, from teen mostly barefoot. I liked it very much. If I were a parent I would set bare feet rule only for my children at home. I believe it is O.K. rule. Posted by: Zingy (3 Jan 09) |

My girlfriend and I love barefoot. Being barefoot @ going is absolutly wonderful as well as very sexy. My girlfriend and I go barefoot in the house yearround as well as our closest friends and family. She has a "no shoes allowed policy in house"("barefeet only") She has at the main enterence to the house which is through garage a beautiful wooden handcarved barefoot on a wooden plaque. She came up with a nice slogan to go along with it("please respect our wishes as to our house rules,help us keep our house clean,please slip off/or out of your shoes@socks and go barefoot"),as my girlfriend has a ("barefoot"policy in our house yearround "no exceptions") Posted by: Steven (8 Oct 08) |

My girlfriend Rhonda and I love being barefoot and are always barefoot in our house yearround. She has even made being/going barefoot in the house her house rule ("everyone") goes barefoot in the house no exceptions.
