Circumcisions are not banned in public hospitals, it is just that the government is not going to use public money to pay for people to apply a barbaric, outdated and totally unnecessary operation on boys who have no way of reversing it when they get older - I know this cause my parents did it to me and I wish the hell they had not !!!!! Usually the sort of moronic comments below come from women... the same women who claim their body's are their own when it comes to arguments about abortion - happy to cut and scar a poor child's body, but pig-headed if anyone dares to outlaw abortion. I can't believe the Australian government is basically not allowing us parents to chose what is best for our sons. It's like we live in a communist regime now that they have banned circumcision in public hospitals. I don't want to live in a country that is a page away from total dictatorship where I have my hands tied behind my back telling me how I should raise my children!
