Raised intact, I always wondered about being circumcised. It was on my mind for years until I started having a sex life. Women I was with (sexually and non sexually)would be facinated by the foreskin they had never seen on anyone else. Those I'd made love to, told me they had never experienced orgasm before me or that with the odd circ'd lover they might acheive orgasm one out of 5 love making sessions. With me it was multiple each session. They liked the stroking of it better as well. I know I have experimented with retracting the foreskin and keeping it retracted for 3 or 4 days at a time. The first 2 days it was very sensitive and enjoyable, but by the 3rd and 4th day I could feel a loss of any real sensitivity and enjoyment. I can't immagine having the head exposed for years on end. It would usually take about 2 to 3 more days to get it back to normal sensitivity once the skin was over the head again. A quote from one woman who said she use to be married to a mechanic who's favourate saying was "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" She is now a firm believer in that theory and not only her but most women I know married or single are leaving thier boys uncut after birth. I was not circumcised until the 1970s when I was in my mid-30s (following a series of long and painful bouts of balanitis). As someone who has lived half of his life with a foreskin and half with his glans exposed, I can say with complete honesty that I much being circumcised. My wife of nearly 50 years agrees that our sex life actually improved once my redundant foreskin had been snipped away. The surgery might not be for everyone; however, it made a memorable and positive difference in my life. Posted by: Ray (22 May 08) |

I was circumcised as a mature adult and cannot convey through mere words the horrible changes I have endured. In two years the glans has become dried and leathery. Sensitivity that was formerly exquisite, has nearly disppeared. A person who was circumcised as a child has never experienced the true feeling of sex. Circed men may not want to belive that, but it is without any doubt, accurate. It is a barbaric monstrous act that should never be performed on a non-consenting individual, let alone children.
