sometimes we are i would like to define the word poor i my self consider to be poor i have no bank account i am single parent of 2 work casually and do it ver y tough like the rest of you out there i too have bills to pay and mouths to feed and a roof to keep over our heads not leaving me with anything in the end i am 40 no savings rent a home cause i cant afford to buy one i have a broken down car that i cant fix cause it cost too much i dont have a spare 500 dollars anywhere i have no washing machine either at the moment cause it blew up so yes as far as the dollar goes i am poor but in my life i have many riches i have my kids i have my strenght and i can survive without these necessities in life because i have too you make do with what you have its not agood life but i wake up alive everyday so for Posted by: Anonymous (3 Apr 10) |
A rather infantile survey question. What are you trying to prove ? Seems to me this is someone with a little bit of wealth who obviosuly feels guitly about the way they got it. And what 'poor' are you referring to ???? Both the question writer, and the commenter below, need to get out and see the real poor, rather than listening to the great pooling of ignorance on red-neck radio talkback or watching the mind-numbing generalisations of Today Tonight. My wife and myself are considered to be poor because we are pensioners but we have a good life as we are prepared to take advantage of what is offered and then make the most of it. Tell the so called hard done by poor to give up their mobile phones, pay TV, their pokie habit, smokes and other drugs and to stop holding out their hands and help themselves.
