Reporters, politicians and lawyers. The only thing you can ever trust them to do is lie. Wherever there is misery and disaster these parasites are there. Either causing the trouble or profitting from it. I find it hilarious that these grubs who would sell their souls for a story have the gall to accuse Wayne Smith of trying to profit from Steve Irwin's death. The only people who profitted from Steve Irwin's death were reporters. Posted by: Archiebald Simkin (13 May 08) |
I remember that story. Talk about a lot of hype over nothing. I would have sold that domain in a heartbeat. I can't believe he gave it away to a bunch of rich people who were too stupid to buy it themselves. Here we have a penniless street person giving away a valuable domain name. The man should have his head read. They didn't deserve to have it. I'll bet they were too cheap to even cover the registration fee. Posted by: Charles Macquarie (23 Apr 08) |
Wayne is cool. He could have made loads of cash out of that domain. I would've sold it. Most people would have. Posted by: Jack Brent (15 Apr 08) |
I think it was disgraceful that the Sydney Morning Herald could get away with writing such garbage about a sincerely nice australian guy. One who unselfishly secured that domain and gave it to Terri Irwin. He didn't even ask for the cost of registering it for them. I went to his website and met an honest man not looking for publicity or wealth but merely trying to do the right thing. He told me he'd do the same thing again in a heart beat. He emailed the zoo weeks before those ambulance chasing reporters got wind of his purchase. Promising the domain to Terri as soon as he had an address to transfer it over to. The media in Australia is gutless and not above anything to find sensationalist reading. Even making stuff up. As far as I know none of these rags has so far apologised for their error. If I was Wayne I'd sue the lot of them for defamation. Posted by: Robert G. Barrett (15 Apr 08) |
